Dear Mr. Schmidt:
I just wanted to drop you a few lines to commend the members of your staff with whom I recently dealt during the just completed purchase of my Sea Ray 310 Sundancer. Mr. John Peterson provided me outstanding professional support, advice and assistance from the start of the transaction right up until completion.
I was purchasing a vessel some seven hundred miles from my home and knew no one in the area there. John helped me to obtain the services of an excellent marine surveyor as well as those of a local boat yard enabling me to have the boat hauled and stored prior to shipment. He then provided me contact information with numerous shippers which enabled me to take bids for shipment and procure transport for my vessel at a reasonable cost. During the transaction he acted as liaison between the seller and myself enabling my many questions about the vessel to be answered.
I also wish to commend Ms. Kathy Hochenberger for her efficiency and dispatch in handling the closing of the sale. At my request, she went way out of her way in moving up the closing date of the sale to accommodate the schedule of a potential shipper I was attempting to engage.
It is always a pleasure to deal with competent, professional individuals that are good at what they do. Your fine staff reflects great credit upon you and your management team at United Yacht Sales.
Please do not hesitate to use my name as reference to any potential buyer, and further, express my sincere thanks to your staff for a most pleasurable buying experience.
6 days ago I read an ad about John Peterson, new sponsor of AGLCA, in our AGLCA newsletter. I loved his Boat Brokers ad (United Yacht Sales of the Carolina's ). I picked up the phone and called him, met him on my boat a few days later, listed my boat, awed with the pictures he took, discussed pros and cons of our boat for marketing strategy and now my boat is sold (closing on Friday). All within 56 days. I could not have scripted a better Broker and final outcome.
During these past 56 days - I came to appreciate John's unique and comprehensive way he approaches a boat sale. He has a unique way to determine the optimum photography of your boat, writing copy and personalize a marketing strategy for your particular boat. People are online looking at boats and not waiting to read the ads in the back of a magazine. John leverages multiple online sources and search words to get your boat recognized. He even has a sophisticated metrics system to determine quickly if your boat is getting the number of hits necessary to sell. The metrics allows him analyze live data to make shifts in online placement to increase hits and increase odds of finding a buyer. Ask John to explain in further detail.
John Peterson sold tons of boats in the last year. Enough said! You have to be good and organized. John is engaged and not doing all this from a distance. I heard some Brokers will ask you to take pictures of your boat and send it to them to list. What? How can that Broker know your boat and have the depth to sell your boat? He was there every step of the way and for the survey...He offered sage advice when asked. He responded quickly whenever I asked what was happening.
If you are thinking about selling or buying a boat call John Peterson of United Yacht Sales of the Carolina's. I promise it will be a positive experience.
